Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) Protection
Please note that payment providers must comply with new fraud-prevention rules, known as 'Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)', which require both debit and credit card providers to ask customers to verify certain payments. As a result, you may be asked to verify payment by signing into your banking app, by receiving a One Time Passcode (OTP) text or a phone call from your card firm when you make an online transaction requiring you to confirm your identity. Our payment gateway may send a request to the issuing bank for either £0.00 or a £1.00 for authorisation to verify that the card is valid and the bank will allow it to be authorised. At times where a £1.00 authentication fee is charged, this will always be reversed almost immediately.
